Topics covered in this course will include: relationships of various number sets to one another; data analysis; congruence and similarity of two-dimensional figures; applications of right triangle calculations using similar triangles or trigonometric ratios; powers and roots; algebraic operations on expressions and equations; operations with and factoring of polynomials; transformations on lines and on two-dimensional objects; and geometric analysis involving solids and including spatial problem solving. Students will use a scientific calculator to work with rational numbers as well as for accessing trigonometric ratios. There are 18 lessons in Math 9.
